about me
I am a senior software engineer on google.com/maps dedicated to making our desktop product accessible to disabled users. I led my team to being first in our organization to achieve Google’s highest accessibility rating and was subsequently awarded Google’s prestigious Disability Inclusion and Accessibility Award and my organization’s Engineering Excellence Award. Beyond accessibility, I have designed and engineered several impactful features at Google. I develop and code-review primarily in JavaScript / TypeScript.
During my sophomore year at Stanford, I founded Women of Silicon Valley: a “Humans of New York” spinoff that features women and non-binary people of color in tech. Women of Silicon Valley has since interviewed over 500 people, amassed 74K+ cross-platform followers, and received national recognition. Women of Silicon Valley comprised a team of 10 amazing women who volunteered their time as part of Google's 20% program.
For my work towards Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in tech, I was named to the BBC’s 100 Women of 2017. Testimonials to my impact can be found here.
